Schools and education
Heat in classrooms and exam halls, flooded playgrounds, storm closures. RISK has questions written for schools, to protect the safety and wellbeing of students and avoid having to close, even for a day.
Climate risk and action · UK
Climate 2100 gives schools, care homes, warehouses, sports and leisure facilities and commercial businesses a clear, affordable picture of how heat, flooding and storms will affect them, and a practical way to act on it. No 80-page reports. No jargon.
RISK and PLAN launch in early November. Register and we'll email you the day they go live.
Why 2100? It is the year most climate projections run to. The buildings, budgets and habits you set up today will still be in use for much of that time, so it pays to plan with that horizon in mind.

Each sector has its own illustrated site and its own questions, so RISK looks at the things that matter where you are.
Heat in classrooms and exam halls, flooded playgrounds, storm closures. RISK has questions written for schools, to protect the safety and wellbeing of students and avoid having to close, even for a day.
Extreme heat and flooding aren't just an inconvenience or a cost. They are a life-threatening risk to your residents. RISK asks care-home questions to help you find the risks to your homes and the people in them.
Keep production on schedule, stop stock and products being damaged or written off, and keep your supply chain moving in both directions. RISK has questions for your sector.
You need customers through the door. Questions written for your sector help you keep trading and keep your doors open (just not to floodwater).
Three in four UK firms haven't assessed a single climate risk. Heatwaves, flooding and storms are a serious risk to every business in the UK. If you don't know your own risks, find out.
Members, visitors and staff face real health risks in high temperatures without cooling, and so do your vital plant and storage rooms if they aren't prepared. Understand the risks for your site quickly and clearly.
See what each improvement will deliver, roughly what it costs and who should own it. Actions are sorted into what you can do now, what should be done before next summer and what to do over the next 12 months.
PLAN starts from your completed RISK snapshot, so you already have the knowledge and insight to reduce your risks straight away. Buy PLAN within 90 days of your RISK results and it's £345 instead of £395.
What we don't do
Plenty of firms produce ESOS audits, SECR reports and carbon reduction plans. That isn't us. Climate 2100 is for the organisations the heavy reports miss, or scare off: practical, plain-English help you can act on this year. Own your climate risk in about 15 minutes, with results you can share straight away with your team, senior leaders, boards and governors.

How it works
Every answer saves as you go, so you can stop and come back on any device.
Your organisation, your name, your email, the postcode and your sector. We email you a link so you can carry on later.
Buy a code for £99 and enter it to start your review. Your code arrives by email as soon as you've paid. One code covers one site and is valid for 12 months.
Confirm the exact spot on the map, because a postcode can cover a few streets. We then check your exact site against official flood, coast, wind, ground and heat data.
Grouped by hazard: flooding and heavy rain, heat, storms and cold, water and ground, and your people and keeping going. Who is on site, what happens if the power goes off, and what bad weather has already done to you.
Tap the questions on an illustration of a site like yours: sunny windows, flat roofs, trees, where your critical equipment is.

Your location-specific risks from flooding, coast and wind, and ground and heat. An overall assessment of your risks, a before-and-after picture and a snapshot of key actions to take now, before next summer and in the next 12 months. Your PDF report and slide deck arrive by email.

Each sector has its own illustrated site and its own specific questions.

Why it matters
74.6%
of UK firms have not assessed any climate risks to their business. Only about 4% have looked at flood or heat risk.

No. The questions are about things you can see or already know, like which rooms get hot or where water collects after heavy rain. If you're not sure, choose "Not sure". We treat that cautiously and it becomes an action to find out.
Yes. Every answer saves as you go. Use the link we email you to carry on from any device. Unfinished reviews are kept for 30 days.
Yes, right up until you click the final "Generate My Results" checkbox. After that your answers are locked, so your report always matches them.
No. One code covers one site and one report. Each site has its own location data and its own answers, so each needs its own review.
Neither. RISK is a screening: it uses official data and your answers to show where risks are likely to be higher and what to do first. It isn't a building survey or a certificate, and it isn't an ESOS, SECR or carbon reduction report.
We use it to produce your report and to contact you about it. We don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI. See our privacy notice.
Built on official Environment Agency, SEPA, Natural Resources Wales, British Geological Survey and Met Office data, and aligned with the UK's Fourth Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA4). The future climate is a projection, not a certainty: we tell you what is more likely, never what will definitely happen. A site that has never flooded can still flood.
Act · £395 per site
Your full climate PLAN: every action your site needs, in the right order, with who does it, what it costs and when. RISK shows the problem; PLAN helps you build the right team to deliver it, own it and get the budget approved. Built from your RISK results, in plain English.
PLAN launches in early November. Register and you'll be among the first to get it.
RISK shows where your site is exposed and your first 15 actions. PLAN takes every action matched to your site and turns it into a programme you can budget for, assign and track, ready to take to your board, governors or trustees.
When to act
PLAN helps you reduce the risks to your school, care home, office, manufacturing site or leisure centre. Actions are organised into what to do now and what to plan for later: start with the easy, low-cost actions, then budget for the bigger projects and get sign-off from senior management and governors.
Quick, low-cost steps: sign up for warnings, clear drains, agree who does what when a warning comes.
Get ready for heat: shading, night-time cooling, a hot-weather routine and extra care for people most at risk.
Bigger steps to plan and budget for: back-up power, raising critical equipment, drainage and planting.
Changes that cost least when building work is happening anyway: flood-resilient materials, cool or green roofs.
See the difference
Every action is marked on a drawing of a site like yours, so your board, governors or owners can see what changes and why.

Costs are rough bands to help you plan, not quotes. Actions are expected to reduce your risk, not guaranteed to remove it.

What even is sustainability? Why is climate change such an issue? How would my business benefit? Organise a workshop with us and find out the answers.
Made for you
Tell us about your people, your site and what you want to achieve, and we'll build the session for exactly that: the right depth, the right examples and the right length. The subjects below are a starting point, not a fixed menu.
Where many workshops start
What is sustainability? What does it mean, and why is it important for my business or sector? What benefits and improvements might we see from having a plan? What are we doing already, and what needs to be done?
All of this can be worked out together in the room, with your interested and engaged colleagues and teams. Delivered in your setting: relaxed, interesting and useful.
Surely the climate has always changed? Why does it matter if it changes now? How do we know it's changing, and how certain is certain? Where are we today, what are the risks today, and what might the future look like?
There is no topic more complex in Earth science than climate, so why would we expect everyone to know, care and act without the facts? We help your staff understand it better, make better choices at home and at work, and plan for a better business through the decades of change ahead.
What is a carbon footprint and what is it made up of? What are Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions? Why would my company, school or site benefit from measuring them, and what can I do to lower them? What difference can I make when no-one else is doing anything?
Every part of a carbon footprint is a cost to you, so lowering emissions can improve your organisation and save you money. Who wouldn't want that? Carbon footprinting is full of complex words and phrases; we simplify it to the point where everyone gets it and makes better decisions at work and at home.

About
Climate 2100 started with a simple belief: every business, location, site and school across the UK deserves the kind of climate thinking that, until now, only the biggest organisations could afford.
Founder Nick Drake has spent twenty years at the sharp end of sustainability, on some of the UK's most ambitious projects: national infrastructure, landmark regeneration, flagship retail and central government. He has seen what works when the stakes are high and the budgets are large.
Climate 2100 takes that experience and makes it usable for everyone else. Plain English. Honest prices. Something useful in your hands in days, not months.
Based in Sussex. Working across the UK.
How we work
The climate of 2100 is being shaped by what we do this decade. One good step today beats a perfect plan that never starts.
If you can't explain a risk in a sentence, it won't get acted on. No jargon, no 80-page reports.
We leave compliance reporting to others and focus on what makes a real difference to your site, your people and your budget.

The short version: we only use your details to help you, we don't sell them, and we don't use them to train AI.
Climate 2100 is run by Nick Drake, a sole trader based in Sussex, UK. Contact: info@climate2100.co.uk.
When you use the contact form: your name, email, and anything else you choose to give us (organisation, phone, your message). When you use RISK: your name, role, email, your site's details and your answers.
To reply to you, to produce your report, and to send you emails about a review you've started or bought, such as the link to carry on and one reminder if you haven't finished. We do this because you've asked us to, or to provide what you've bought.
Contact messages: up to 2 years. Unfinished reviews: deleted after 30 days. We keep a short safety buffer in case you're away or unwell, so an unfinished review is never kept for more than 60 days after you last saved it. Reports and purchase records: for a maximum of 3 years.
Only the services that help us run Climate 2100: our website host, our email provider and our payment provider. We never sell your details, and we don't use them to train AI.
To check your site, RISK looks up its map location in official datasets and map services, including Ordnance Survey, the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, SEPA, the British Geological Survey, the Met Office and Esri. These services receive the location being checked, not your name or your answers.
